We want to hold you accountable, however we appreciate that life can get in the way. You will have access to a small library of popular Align, Condition and Burn classes in our Favourites library, in case you want to sweat through your favourite workouts with us again. And, if you have a favourite workout, tell us!! At the bottom of every workout there is a comments section, let us know what you think.
Inclusivity and access for all is important to us at ember. If you've been given the all clear to exercise by a health professional and you are not within a high risk category, please join in! If you are comfortable modifying and understand what you can and can't do, you are more than welcome to join all of our Align classes. However we've also created a library of short pre & post natal safe workouts and sequences that range from 15 – 30 minutes.
Everything in the pre & post natal library is safe for you at all stages of your pregnancy. You can sub these sequences into your workout when we move into mat work that is unsuitable for you, your baby or recovery. We have made these classes slightly shorter than our standard Align and Condition classes to fit into your busy new mum schedules!
If you're within your first trimester, and you were relatively active pre pregnancy, you can continue to workout as normal. From your second trimester it is advised that you no longer perform abdominal work or jumping movements, and refrain from laying on your back for long periods. When holding a plank, please drop to your knees. During the workouts please listen to your body and ensure you are maintaining an adequate level of breath. You should be able to maintain a casual conversation without getting puffed out.
If you have been given the all clear from a health professional and you have minimal to no abdominal separation, then you are ok to begin the regular workouts. However, please listen to your body and be kind to yourself. If you feel any pain within the pelvic region or throughout the workouts that doesn't seem right, stop and give yourself some time to rest.
At first you may feel a little weaker than normal, but you can rest assured knowing that with time and consistency, you will be able to rebuild and gain strength.
All of our classes can be done without equipment (wine bottles & pillows are a great substitute!), but to really feel the burn, we suggest purchasing our FirePack.

We layer in the level of difficulty so that you and your body always have the option to work at your own pace. We encourage you to watch our 'Form' video library and learn the correct techniques for common Pilates movements.
